Following graduation from The Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art and a nomination for the Sir Alec Guinness Award, John has quickly established himself as an exciting, up and coming young actor.

His hardworking attitude matched with his dedication, enthusiasm and commitment to learning the skills of this profession have led him to runs in the successful Kenwright productions of 'Festen' and 'The Hollow' as well as lead roles as Jake in ‘Breakfast with Jonny Wilkinson’ for the Menier Chocolate Factory and Austin in True West. Recent roles in Macbeth and Romeo and Juliet for the Young Shakespeare Company have cemented his standing as a “Director’s actor”, showing his strength at responding to direction whilst unafraid to place his own interpretation on parts.

Throughout, his talent, love of acting and respect for the craft have ensured an ongoing and developing reputation.

He has augmented his theatre work with video and film, and can be seen in a number of adverts for companies including Nokia and Hellmanns Mayonnaise.

In conjunction with his acting career John is much in demand for his close up magic skills, with several residencies, weddings and corporate events behind him. Specialising in sleight of hand using card tricks, sponge balls and coins, John puts many of his acting skills to good use providing a witty and entertaining slant on this age old profession.
