Follow John on Twitter @John_Bulleid | John has quickly established himself as an exciting, up and coming young actor following his graduation from The Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art and a nomination for the Sir Alec Guinness Award. He is also a Magician and has recently received the ultimate accolade of being received as a member of The Magic Circle. Acting highlights include successful runs in the Bill Kenwright productions of 'Festen' and 'The Hollow' as well as lead roles as Jake in ‘Breakfast with Jonny Wilkinson’ for the Menier Chocolate Factory and Austin in ‘True West’. Recent roles in Macbeth and Romeo and Juliet for the Young Shakespeare Company have cemented his standing as a “Director’s actor,” showing his strength at responding to direction whilst unafraid to place his own interpretation on parts. He can also be seen in a number of short films as well as adverts for companies including Nokia and Hellmanns Mayonnaise. Throughout, his talent, love of acting and respect for the craft have ensured an ongoing and developing reputation. John is much in demand for his close up magic skills, with several residencies, weddings and corporate events behind him. Specialising in sleight of hand using card tricks, sponge balls and coins, John puts many of his acting skills to good use providing a witty and entertaining slant on this age old profession. There are only 1,500 members of The Magic Circle worldwide and entry is through peer judgement, a testimony to John’s years of practice.
